The Factory LIC

Historically sensitive adaptive reuse by Atlas Capital Group of the 1,120,000 sf Factory Building in Long Island City.  A 10-story industrial loft building originally built as a furniture warehouse for Macy’s in 1926, the converted property is now home to a variety of businesses, including Gwynnie Bee, Spinmaster, NYC DOHMH, Power Home Remodeling Group, Vanessa’s Dumpling House and Halo Recognition.

The existing structure is a robust mix of concrete and masonry with a classic industrial feel that we have sought to reinforce with modern infrastructure and materials. The renovation is ongoing and has included the replacement of all glazing, new lighting and signage, upgrades to elevators, building systems and public spaces, a new food marketplace, roof decks and other shared amenities - all with a focus on creating an active and collaborative tenant environment.
